Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how SUNURA uses cookies and similar technologies on the SUNURA website, public pages, dashboards, APIs, widgets, integrations, disclosure workflows, evidence records, public verification pages, and related services.
Cookies and similar technologies may include browser cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels, tags, scripts, device identifiers, log identifiers, or other technologies that store information on, or access information from, a user’s device.
SUNURA uses necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and Services. Optional preference, analytics, and marketing technologies are disabled unless the visitor or user chooses otherwise, except where applicable law permits limited low-impact analytics without consent.
SUNURA is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, regulatory advice, legal representation, certification, conformity assessment, or a guarantee of compliance with the EU AI Act, GDPR, ePrivacy law, consumer-protection law, advertising law, platform rules, or other applicable law.
1. Who controls cookies on SUNURA pages
For cookies and similar technologies used on SUNURA’s own website and services, the controller is:
SUNURA
Privacy contact: [email protected]
Where SUNURA processes customer personal data through customer-configured services, SUNURA may act as processor under the applicable Data Processing Addendum.
2. Cookie choices
You can choose whether SUNURA may use optional cookies and similar technologies.
You can:
- accept all optional cookies;
- reject non-essential cookies;
- manage choices by category;
- change or withdraw consent at any time.
- Rejecting non-essential cookies does not block access to SUNURA public pages.
- You can update your choices by using the Manage cookie choices button on this page or the Manage cookies link in the footer.
3. Cookie categories
| Category | Purpose | Default status | Consent basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary cookies | Operate the website, protect sessions, remember cookie choices, support security controls, prevent misuse, and enable requested account workflows | Always enabled | Consent not required where strictly necessary |
| Preference cookies | Remember optional settings such as language, region, interface, or display preferences | Disabled by default unless selected or technically necessary for a requested preference | Consent or user request, depending on the setting |
| Analytics cookies | Understand how visitors use SUNURA pages, measure performance, detect usability problems, and improve the website and Services | Disabled by default unless configured as low-impact analytics permitted by law | Consent where required |
| Marketing cookies | Support campaign measurement, advertising attribution, retargeting, or similar marketing purposes | Disabled by default | Consent required |
4. Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies and similar technologies are required for the website and Services to function properly.
They may be used for:
- session management;
- authentication;
- security;
- fraud prevention;
- load balancing;
- remembering cookie choices;
- protecting forms;
- maintaining dashboard access;
- supporting account workflows;
- preventing misuse of APIs, public verification pages, and evidence workflows.
- Necessary cookies cannot be disabled through SUNURA’s cookie controls because the website or Services may not work properly without them.
5. Preference cookies
Preference cookies or localStorage values may remember choices requested by the visitor or user, such as:
- language preference;
- interface preference;
- region or localisation preference;
- dashboard display setting;
- cookie-choice status.
- Preference cookies are used only where necessary to remember a requested setting or where the visitor has selected the relevant preference.
6. Analytics cookies
SUNURA may use analytics cookies or similar technologies to understand how visitors use the website and Services.
Analytics may help SUNURA:
- measure page usage;
- detect broken pages or usability problems;
- improve product content;
- understand feature adoption;
- improve performance and reliability.
- Analytics cookies that are not strictly necessary and that may identify, track, profile, or follow visitors across sessions, devices, or websites are used only after consent.
Where SUNURA uses limited low-impact analytics that do not identify visitors, do not build profiles, do not support advertising, and have no or little privacy impact, SUNURA may use those analytics without consent where permitted by applicable law. SUNURA will still inform visitors about such use.
7. Marketing cookies
SUNURA may use marketing cookies or similar technologies only after consent.
Marketing cookies may be used for:
- campaign measurement;
- advertising attribution;
- retargeting;
- conversion measurement;
- understanding which campaigns lead to registrations, trials, or paid subscriptions.
- SUNURA does not use marketing cookies unless they are enabled through the cookie controls or another valid consent mechanism.
8. Third-party technologies
SUNURA may use third-party technologies for hosting, security, analytics, payment, email, support, product improvement, or marketing.
Non-essential third-party scripts, pixels, tags, analytics tools, advertising tools, or similar technologies must not load until the relevant consent category is active.
Where third-party technologies are used, those providers may process information according to their own terms, privacy notices, data processing terms, or cookie policies.
SUNURA will identify third-party cookies and similar technologies in the cookie table where they are active.
9. Current cookie and storage table
SUNURA should maintain a current cookie and storage inventory. The production page should include the actual values detected on the live site.
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Type | Duration | First-party / third-party |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| sunura_cookie_consent | SUNURA | Necessary | Stores the visitor’s cookie choices | Cookie or localStorage | 6–12 months | First-party |

If SUNURA currently uses only necessary cookies, state this clearly:
SUNURA currently uses only necessary cookies and similar technologies on public pages. Optional analytics and marketing cookies are not active unless enabled in the future and only after any required consent.
10. Consent design
SUNURA’s cookie controls are designed to provide a real choice.
Where optional cookies are used, the cookie banner or preference panel should allow visitors to:
- accept all optional cookies;
- reject non-essential cookies;
- manage choices by category;
- save selected choices;
- change or withdraw consent later.
- Optional categories must not be pre-selected unless the visitor previously made that choice.
- SUNURA does not use cookie walls that require visitors to accept non-essential cookies before accessing public pages.
- SUNURA does not intentionally design cookie controls to mislead visitors, hide rejection choices, or push visitors toward accepting non-essential cookies.
11. Withdrawal of consent
You may withdraw consent at any time through the Manage cookie choices button on this page or the Manage cookies link in the footer.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
After withdrawal, SUNURA will stop using the relevant optional cookies or similar technologies, subject to technical limitations and normal deletion or expiry of cookies already stored in the browser.
You may also delete cookies through your browser settings.
12. Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or restrict cookies.
Browser controls may affect website features, account sessions, language settings, dashboard access, security controls, and other requested functionality.
Browser-level blocking does not always replace SUNURA’s consent controls, and SUNURA’s consent controls do not replace your browser settings.
13. Do Not Track and global privacy signals
Some browsers or extensions may send “Do Not Track” or similar signals. There is no single universally accepted technical standard for all such signals.
Where SUNURA supports recognised privacy signals or browser-level consent mechanisms, SUNURA will describe that support in this Cookie Policy or in the cookie controls.
14. Changes to this Cookie Policy
SUNURA may update this Cookie Policy when cookies, similar technologies, providers, purposes, durations, consent mechanisms, or legal requirements change.
The “Last updated” date shows when this Cookie Policy was last revised.
Material changes may be notified through the website, cookie banner, dashboard, email, or another reasonable method.
